Dusty Poems 4

Dusty Poems, a poetry series

A poem about how an argument can alter how we see a relationship.

Fall into my humble arms
I’ll wipe away the years
Forget all the harsh words we said
Forgive us for the tears
Tainted is the view we see
The terrible people we’ll always be
Regret the moment we ever met
Fallen in this sinking hole
Our desperation will always show
The bad times, it seems, is all we know
Forget me
I’ll forget you
The painful memories, we let go
And it will all fade to dust

  1. I love this and how it could be interpreted one out of two ways: It’s either a couple hugging for one last time before they break up or it’s a plea to forget everything in their shared past and start all over again with a cleared deck.
