Reading from “Origami Stars and Hot Air Moon” and News About Horror Novel
I recently had the opportunity to talk about writing, poetry, and horror — my favorite things to chat about. In the above discussion with MakeSpace, I read a few poems from my poetry collection “Origami Stars and Hot Air Moon,” published by Winter Goose Publishing (2020). I also read a poem or two from a new collection I’m working on with the working title “Stardust and Everything That’s Left.” Then I described my writing journey and some things I’ve learned along the way. And last, but not least, I talked about my horror novel that I’ve been working on for the last several years and which has been accepted for publication. I mention in the video that I’m working on a new title, and the one I mention has already been rejected and so the process of finding just the right title continues. And I read a small excerpt from the book, which is the first glimpse the outside world has had of this novel. I hope you enjoy!
